How to ruche and tie your MAES Mask for the perfect fit.
Elastic naturally degrades with high washing temperatures over time, so MAES sew channels into our masks so you can replace your elastic as they wear, making MAES MASKS a truly reusable product. You will find your Mask arrives with the latex free elastic fed through the channel for you. Watch this video to help guide you on tying them for your perfect fit. If you have purchased the ZIP LOCK PACK with the extra elastic, this video will also show you how to fit the clear beads which come in this pack. (Beads are not essential, but add some extra tension and looks aesthetically more pleasing against the knot).
Masks are an additional step to help slow the spread of COVID-19 when combined with every day preventive actions and social distancing in public settings.
Masks should be washed regularly. It is important to always remove masks correctly and wash your hands after handling or touching a used mask.
**Washing Instructions for your Maes Face Mask**
If you choose to machine wash your mask(s), please sort the mask(s) by colour and include with your regular laundry. If you've inserted a filter, remove it before washing.
Use regular laundry detergent and the warmest water setting for cotton your machine allows. If you choose to hand-wash your masks, fill the sink with hot
water and add detergent. When your Mask has been washed, air dry your masks in direct sunlight, or on a dying rack. When your Mask is dry, you can set your
iron onto the cotton setting and apply it lightly for a few seconds to reshape your mask back to its original pristine finish.
